Enemy Offline have announced their Clan Wars 2004 competition for Ghost Recon. What's neat about it this year is that the tournament will be based on the fantastic Frostbite maps! The competition is set to start on the 13th of June and last for 2 weeks.
There is a pretty cool flash intro to view here, and the forums contain all the news and rules here (forums sign up required) and the sign-up page is here and closes on the 11th of June. Good luck!

The tournament will consist of as many clans as possible to get. And will start at 13th. June. All clans must be signed up and approved before Friday the 11th. Of June. The tournament will last for 2 weeks. All Matches will be played on Enemy Offline servers. With the following time schedule (Monday - Sunday)
1900 - 2100
2100 - 2300
2300 - 0100
0100 - 0300 (Friday and Saturday only, and reserved for US based clans)
All times being GMT/UTC +2 or CEST or Bravo Time if u want. To check your time against Norwgian time click on the following link : http://www.timezonec...cgi-bin/tzc.tzc Norway is the same as Europe\Oslo.
The tournament will be played with Kidbuster (www.kidbuster.tk) and Frostbite 1.3 (available in our download section). From Friday 11th of June Arena3.enemyoffline.com will be available for players to test Kidbuster and Frostbite to make sure it works prior to meeting up for a game.
How many clans there will be in each group will depend on how many clans that sign up. The clans will have to schedule the matches between them selves, and report this to the admins in EO. Remember to check server availability prior to sending in a scheduled match. (Details coming l8r).
How will the matches be played?
Each match will consist of 4 rounds and 2 maps. Which maps that is allowed will be set by Enemy Offline, each clan will then be able to pick one of those maps. If Clan A picks map, then Clan B picks colour to start with. The colour will be changed after each round. The winner of the match will be the team who has won most rounds. If the score is 2-2 after 4 rounds then the last map is going to be played once more, this time with random insertions. If this map was picked by Clan A, then Clan B is free to select colour again. If the Riz round ends in draw, then the match ends in Draw.
Since this is a Frostbite tournament the servers will have the following restriction: Frostbite Weapons Only, No Sensors.
Which maps that are allowed in the tournament will be posted on our forum.
All news information, discussions, requests will be posted on our forum.
Group Play
How many groups, and how many teams that will be in each group depends on how many who sign up. Our experience from last years tournament is that they wanted it to last a bit longer, and with more teams. This year we will try to honor those requests.
Details about the groups will be posted in this forum as soon as the the signup is complete.
Knock out
The only difference here is that EO admins, will pick the map. Each team will get there chance to pick color on the 2 maps that will be picked. Home team will pick color first then away team, on the 2nd map.
If any teams want to use any other form for voice communications such as Microsoft GameVoice, Roger Wilco or their own teamspeak server they are free to do so.
All teams must be available 15 min before the game is about to start. If any team is missing some players 5 min after scheduled gamestart. The game will start. The missing player(s) are welcome to join in later in the match. All players must be signed up at the rooster.
When the Match is finished the results will be available on eo's website. MatchAdmin/Observer will also declare the winner of the match based on the scoring model.
Each match will have an observer from EO.
If any player drops out during the start-up of the game, then game will be restarted up to max three times. Any players unsuccessful at that time will be left out of the map.
Every player should use a xDSL line or better. If a player using ISDN of worse, the map will NOT be restarted even if that player is dropt out during start-up. Lie about your line will constitute the “cheating penalty”.
There will be NO lag tests. The EO servers are superior. No argument tolerated. Any testing can be done against Arena3 prior to tournament start.

Yeh, I was considering putting a team together for it, not least cause I like the FB maps
The change of pace would be good too, just for a change
